Our Ostrich Leg Suede belts are made from genuine ostrich leg leather from South Africa. This is a material that clearly differs from the more common ostrich leather, which comes from the upper side of the bird, where the feathers were attached. The feathers are often used for brooms and decoration, while the leather from the upper side is used in traditional ostrich products.
In this belt, we use the ostrich leg, especially the ankle area, which gives a distinctive and exclusive texture on the front of the belt. The belts are edge-stitched, and each belt is cut to the correct length especially for you.
What is suede (suede leather)?
Suede is leather with a soft, velvety surface. It is made by using the flesh side of the leather, which is buffed to create a smooth and soft texture.
